Cosplay Contest Support Series

The Cosplay Contest Support Series is a trio of workshops and panels that cover the big three components of cosplay contests: 

  • Cosplay Contest Basics: Covers the fundamentals and structure of cosplay contests:
  • Judging Basics: Delves into what it takes to be a cosplay contest judge and create a welcoming inclusive environment for contestants
  • Cosplay Contest Runner’s Summit: A place for cosplay contest runners to discuss all things cosplay contest and to make our shows as good as they can be.

The events are held in the Cosplay Contest Support Group and the Cosplay Contest Runner’s Assemble Groups on Facebook, as well as some select in-person shows. Check out our appearances to see where we will be hosting them next!

POC Creati-Con

PoC Creati-Con is a virtual mini-conference focusing on the PoC creator marketing and management experience with a strong focus on the impact of Covid-19, civil injustice, loss of physical community and essential transition to digital fluency on PoC and PoC spaces.

This conference not only provides a space for PoC to learn from each other on the intersection of marketing and these areas of impact, but also build community and market creative skills.

About PoC Creati-con

PoC Creati-Con is a virtual mini-conference focusing on the PoC creator marketing and management experience with a strong focus on the impact of Covid-19, civil injustice, loss of physical community and essential transition to digital fluency on PoC and PoC spaces. This conference not only provides a space for PoC to learn from each other on the intersection of marketing and these areas of impact, but also build community and market creative skills. 

The conference is free for all attendees and presenters, so come learn, network and share along with other PoC creators of all types! No special software or pay-wall required!

PoC Creati-Con is hosted through Zoom and features concurrent sessions all conference-long. Learn from content creating experts from the comfort of your own home. Zoom has auto-captioning enabled in any non-breakroom session, and can be accessed through multiple digital platforms including phone and computer. We encourage interested attendees to register in advance, but you can also register day-of either here or through the PoC Creati-Con Facebook page. All attendees will be admitted only after queueing in the digital waiting room. Zoom Bombers will not be permitted and will be removed.

While the conference is free, we appreciate any donations attendees or supporters may have to keep this and other events operational. You can buy us a Ko-Fi or simply share the word with others who may enjoy the conference content.

Stop. Drop. Cosplay. is a drop-by closet-cosplay event for those who like getting prizes for all of the stuff you’ve been hoarding in your house!

Got a closet full of fandom gear but no place to show it off? How about all of the supplies for the perfect closet fandom character? Do you have a box full of random horns and goggles and…oh….is that a prop sword? Get ready to STOP. DROP. COSPLAY.! 

This Discord cosplay event is perfect for those of you with oodles of costumes or would-be-costumes and love getting prizes! Hop in the Discord, compete during themed round and compete for the best-assembled costume matching the theme of the day!
